This is part 2 of a 3-part workshop series.

Queen's Court is a dialect formation (or rather, a series of formations) created by the brilliant mind of Melody Bustillos, mother of the official FatChanceBellyDance Sword Dialect. These formations work really well on stage and even better in an all-around audience situation. They allow the interaction of up to 16 dancers, allowing us to expand the FCBD repertoire.In this workshop series, we'll work with Queen's Court 6 and 8 in their Duet variation. Each workshop will build onto the previous, so we suggest that you work with part 1 first.

Yuri Ferretti (he/him) ist in der Toskana, Italien geboren. Als er 18 war, entdeckte er den orientalischen Tanz für sich, was er Gloria Ozalzhim verdankt, die ihm ein Jahr lang Tanzunterricht gab. 2012 zog er nach Berlin, um die Tanzakademie Cifuentes zu besuchen, in der er die zwei-jährige CATT-Ausbildung (Certified Academic Teacher Training) für arabischen Tanz in November 2015 abschloss. Im gleichen Jahr tanzte er als Mitglied der In the same year, he also danced as a member of the CATT Company, an oriental CATT Company, eine von Beata und Horacio Cifuentes gegründete und geleitete Company für orientalischen Tanz. Tribal Fusion lernte er erst durch YouTube kennen; danach bot sich ihm die Möglichkeit, Workshops mit internationalen Lehrer*innen zu besuchen, wie z.B. Patricia Zarnovican, Mardi Love, Samantha Emanuel, Ashley López, April Rose, Tjarda, Alexis Southall u.a. Er nahm regulären Tribal Fusion Unterricht bei Silvia Orchidaceae von September 2014 bis Januar 2016 und FatChanceBellyDance® Style (ehemaliger American Tribal Style) Unterricht bei Fara La Sombra von Januar 2016 bis August 2017, bei deren Gruppe er in der gleichen Zeit Mitglied war. Im October 2017 fing er das Facebook Projekt ATS® Friday Challenge zusammen mit Anna Nordling (Schweden) und mit der Kooperation der FCCE Lehrerin Kelley Beeston (Vereinigter Königreich) an. Yuri wohnt immer noch in Berlin, wo er regelmäßige FCBD® Style Kurse gibt.
